My concern is that there are still owners who support Larry Demalade. How is it they do not see how he has lied to us?
How is it they continue to want a GM who is not honest and has no regard for accountability?

Anonymous said...

To correct the rumors about Jim Peterson:

My disdain for the GM is well known around LIV. However, that dislike revolves around the fact that I do not believe he is qualified to run or manage this Village! I believe a GM with a background in city management would be more suited.

Let me correct the misnomer that I was a “disgruntled employee” or did not follow Larry’s orders. I was not hired by the GM! I was asked to repair our golf course. Aramark was used only because of insurance reasons to be able to use the skid steer loader. Oh yeah, and the $6.50 per hour I received was all used to purchase compost, fertilizer, soil testing, weed sprayers, sod, new riding mower, chainsaw, and power rototiller. I paid for many parts and repairs out of pocket and also a $1500 cost to form an LLC and apply for my Texas Landscape License for the purpose of buying trees and shrubs for the common areas and the golf course at cost.

My disgust comes from what I observed while working on this golf course: using our equipment and employees to run after lunches or parts (when parts could be delivered). Taking the skid steer loader and using it for 5-6 weeks then covering it up! Wasting money by running 3 phase motors on single phase power, taking 2 months to get laundry on line, 2 ½ months to repair main sewer line. Tell me, what does he do around here? Most of what he talks about is work designated to the maintenance manager, Armando. We are paying 2 people and getting production of 1 or “less” because Armando and Larry are always together.

The card playing on a daily basis on the maintenance office computer, both going to the bank and then to lunch together for about 2 hours a day “is disgusting”.

It was NEVER about employment, I volunteered to help LIV become what I felt it could and should be.

Sounds like a disgruntled employee to me!

Anonymous said...

ITs a thankless job Jim!
Jim did a lot here in lIV.I hope he continues.
I appreciate his efforts and many do!
Larry doesn't want to be shown up. Everything has to be his idea. It really doesnt matter. As long as it gets done. He doesn't work well with other people. He says NO to ideas. And then makes it his own!

I hope we don't give up on letting the GM go, replace, terminate, fire, call it what you want.

Anonymous said...

Now that you mentioned it I belive your right. In talking to quite a few of the employees, I believe all of them are disgruntled. Have you ever worked with the GM? Have you ever seen any of them smile in the office or seem happy at doing their job. Full reflection of the GM. There is a difference between concerned and disgruntled. Sounds like concerned.

Advice and suggestions.

First let me say the election committee did a great job handling the Monday night meeting.

Next is advice: An owner asked if any of the "COOL" group was connected with the group that sued our BOD. The answer from Halbach was that owners Zerbe and Schroeder were the only ones he knew were connected to COOL. The rest of the story is - the leadership and money behind COOL are Priest and Mulch who sued our BOD and Burke, Zerbe and Schroeder who have caused havoc at our monthly meetings. This Sour Grapes Group (SGG) needs proxies and votes to void the owners' choices in last years election and had to coin up a name other than SGG in this attempt. This should be obvious because they listed all candidates except the last years winners and their supporters.

Next is suggestions: In order to thwart the SGG attempt to have their way in this years election, I propose that all "normal" owners renew their last years vote with a vote for only 5 of the candidates. The 5 we should support are Dodson, White, Long, Hansen and McBride. We then would take pot luck on the other 4 BOD positions but last years winners would be confirmed and SGG-COOL would not have prevailed. Remember, you do not have to vote for all 9 positions - just vote for these 5. My final suggestion for all "normal" owners is to treat these 5 obnoxious SGG-COOL people as if they were invisible - don't speak to them or even act like they exist. Perhaps if they find this place so unfriendly, they may want to live someplace else.

Anonymous said...

Thank you, Jim, for all your hard work on the golf course and the Board of Directors. Your volunteering on the golf course lead to all the donations and time people have put in to improve our golf course. The golf cart paths are a great improvement and make walking so much safer.

Anonymous said...

"My final suggestion for all "normal" owners is to treat these 5 obnoxious SGG-COOL people as if they were invisible - don't speak to them or even act like they exist. Perhaps if they find this place so unfriendly, they may want to live someplace else."

So if someone doesn’t agree with you your answer is to do whatever it takes to get rid of them. Wow, I think we all went to grade school with kids like that. Thank goodness most of them became adults and learned that this country is founded on our ability to coexist while not always agreeing with everyone. Your sophomoric attitude is exactly what’s wrong in LIV today. I actually feel sorry for you.

Anonymous said...

To: ...sounds like adisgruntled employee to me.

Jim sounds more like a concerned owner to me!

Anonymous said...

No one ever doubted your concern for the village, JP. And I wouldn't call you a disgruntled employee, either.

HOWEVER, you failed to admit that you are mad about being let go. Whether you were in it for the wages or not has nothing to do with the fact that you are upset that you are no longer in that position.

Not only are you not able to do the things you were doing to help the golf course and some other things, you are also unable to "check up" on our GM and his employees. Admit it!

No, it's not good to do the things that you observed them doing. But you know and I know that it happens everywhere, and we ourselves have been known to do some of those things.

I have heard people say that it was a conflict of interest for Larry to live here as an owner. It was a conflict of interest for you to be an employee.

We have all learned from this, and for THAT reason, maybe this has all been a good thing.

Anonymous said...

Are there not other employees living in the park?

Anonymous said...

Cool, HOT,SGG,3M, wow all this divisive rhetoric needs to stop! We are all Owners here and need to start with a clean slate-except EM, he can't seem to shake that smirk.

Anonymous said...

How's this for immoral???

Larry giving owners a list of candidates to vote for.

Ethical or unethical, you be the judge.

Anonymous said...

Unethical!!....This really upsets me! I saw Larry & Armando running around the village today handing out the list of who they wanted voted in....on our dime! Are we paying these managers to campaign?? What's up with that? I certainly don't want my condo fees paying two managers to campaign. I would really like to see that money go to mowing my lawn, maintaining the pool, fixing the streets, etc., etc., etc.

Anonymous said...

I also saw Larry & Armando handing out lists of people to vote for. They are supposed to be working for us! Management should not be involved in the politics of this village, they should work with whoever is elected. What a joke these two have made of their job! It's time for new blood.

Good Luck new board people!

Anonymous said...

It was the best ever.. I enjoyed my day!It is a wonderful system we have.
The numbers where outstanding.
We seen so many new faces, young faces. Famlies, mothers, fathers childern. Not just the the old people who think they know and own everything.
we wellcome the valley people. They are the new voices. They will help make changes in our park. PLEASE!
I ask the new board to make our GM accountable . Dont let JP, EM, RH,MND work go unnoticed. They have opened all our eyes. ONE way or another.

Anonymous said...

Best of luck to all the new board members. We will see how you all feel a year from now after putting up with the biggest bully in our village. The cancer will continue to grow.I was hoping we could at least have some fair representation but after visiting with several new comers I can see we will have a one woman show. This village will be in shambles within the next year! And the lies will continue to be told and we will be told to shut up or get out weather we like it or not.

Anonymous said...

Every owner needs to be on alert for the Larry/Pat Show for the next three years unless Aramark decides to step in and take care of business.

The people wanted things to be the way the used to be and that's what they got.

No accountability, Larry doing what he wants with our money, and Pat running her mouth.

Anonymous said...

I guess the "abnormal" people have spoken. I think we call them "grown ups". How about we stop with the sour grapes, stop with the "village will be in shambles", and give the new board a chance. We gave last years board a chance. Many of us VOTED FOR THEM. It just didn't work. Let's wish the new board well. We don't want them to fail, because then LIV fails.

Anonymous said...

all bloggers; the sour grapes have fermented to a fine wine! please lets pop the cork together and work to bring our eden back from the abyss it fell into over the last year.

Anonymous said...

Our new Hispanic board members will now put an end to the unfairness that goes on after the winter people go. Wrist band, everything that is nice gets put away,we do not get treated the same. People in the pool are rude to the Hispanic people. The weight room closes early. We hear the Hispanic people make a mess of everything. There is no food. They are families that come here in the summer also to enjoy!

Anonymous said...

Wow. Where did THAT come from? Yes, rules are different in the winter than in the summer because most of the winter people are owners. Most of the summer people are short term renters. Things have to be done differently. I have absolutely never heard of anyone having "race" problems at LIV. In fact it is my understanding that most of the people here in summer are Hispanic. If there are problems with the way things work in summer, definitely they should be addressed. But please don't turn a matter of seasonal differences into a matter of "race". The fact that we voted in Hispanic board members should tell you something! WE LIKE YOU!

WELCOME TO BURK DEMALADE VILLAGE. Lets see what this place looks like next year. What is the cost to us going to be. Because everything well be still be in the red.

Anonymous said...

re: burk demalade village

The color will be brown because everything will be dead due to no watering. Welcome to the new regime!

Anonymous said...

It is interesting to note that there is/are party(s) that have to make nasty quips about anything posted that is NOT to their liking or in lockstep with their way of thinking. This is/These are, I am sure, the same SGGers that keep calling for "Harmony" and for Joey to shut down the blog! Boy, I can only imagine how they would like to shut this Blog down! Talk about the "Cherry on the Cake"!

Anonymous said...

Well, let's see how well their actions speak for themselves. Maybe they won't require the summer people to wear wrist bands in the pool. Maybe the grass will stay green and mowed. Perhaps the new Security and Cable will work out alright. The last board gave us better Security and bette Cable and encouraged much improvement around the golf course.

Let's see if the new board can maintain the quality standards set by the old board.

Anonymous said...

Suggestion: let's get that new $2000 web site that was approved Jan 31, online now! The current web site is crap, and I'm anxious to see what that $2000 web site will look like!

Anonymous said...

Burke Demalade Village? New Regime? OMG - How do you get through your day with such a negative attitude? Try waking up with a smile hoping the next year will be better for all of us. If it isn't, "throw the bums out" next time. Give the new board a chance. And, to be fair, people are still questioning the better security, and getting the new cable was a bit of a disaster. And as far as improvements on the golf course? I love them, but it wasn't the board. I believe it was mostly done by owner contributions and work which I believe was pretty much led by the McBride's. Give credit where credit is due.

Anonymous said...

All of the candidates stood up for licensed Security. And the Cable presentation is much better than the old one. Where is the disaster in that? Cutovers are never very smooth.

And McBride was on the board. And there were others on the board supportive of the golf course efforts. Indeed, give credit where credit is due.

Anonymous said...

Yep, they did. Does that mean Security is great? Don't think so. And the cable - of course it's better than what we had. It's the way it was done. Did you not hear about us being sued because we brought in a new company before our contract was over with the old one? And yes. Now pay attention. McBride was on the board. Other supporters were on the board. That does not mean THE BOARD made the improvements. It means that the McBrides (in their personal life outside of their board life) did a great job getting people together, doing fundraisers, etc. to make the improvements. It means the McBrides got the entire Village involved in making our golf course better. Thank them (and the Village), not the board. I'm sensing that's the difference between you and me. You think one side is all bad and the other side is all good. I think that's a load of crap. I DO give credit where credit is due. I don't have to agree with their politics to give them the credit they deserve. They spent a lot of their own time on the golf course because they DO care about this Village. THEY deserve the golf course credit, NOT THE BOARD.

Anonymous said...

RE:Yep, they did. Does that mean Security is great? Don't think so. And the cable:

Now you pay attention. It doesn't matter about the credits, but what's good for the Park. We all know the three directors not sued did everything to disrupt the progress and park harmony this past year. That's all in the past. Let's look at the future. By the way, the cable lawsuit was because of a billing issue that was to be whenever we would have cancelled their contract and implimented by a long ago board.

Anonymous said...

Indeed, there was no overlap with the cable contract. The old contract expired at midnight December 31 and the new contract started at 12:01 January 1st. The old cable company sued because of Sour Grapes. Sound familiar?

Anonymous said...

At least we Security people who are focused on Security, not running errands for Larry.

Anonymous said...

They may not be running errands for LD but, did you see one of them the day of the annual meeting toting a box for Aurora, our office manager??? Since when is carrying boxes for a manager a Security duty?

Anonymous said...

I really find it amusing that there are people on this blog that are numb from the neck up!! so they carried a box for her and you want to make an issue gheez!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe he saw a lady struggling & acted as any gentleman should.

Anonymous said...

Well folks I fully agree that we should support our “NEW” BOD, but we need to understand something. Only 4 people on the BOD are NEW. The remaining 5 have all been on the BOD previously and some several times!

The 5 “old” members have a long history of NOT holding the GM accountable for his actions or how he spends our money. Even if the four new BODs come up with ideas that would really help LIV, it will not happen unless the 5 old ones agree as they have majority.

So LIV keep on trucking the best you can….....And get ready for the condo fee increase that Miss P (Miss Pat) is about to lay on us.

Anonymous said...

If we have a condo fee increase it'll be because of all the CRAP the "fab five" put us through. Give me a break!

Anonymous said...

Hey there little miss "give me a break". Other than trying to make the GM accountable, tells us what the Fab Five put us through. Give some details with your BS (break stuff).

Anonymous said...

Let me handle this one FOR you, litte miss!

We have higher security costs because of the "fab five".

We are in a number of lawsuits because of them.

Our water bill is higher because of them.

We pay more to our attorney because of them.

We have more to TEND to this year because of them--they kept us from doing anything all year LAST year!

These things, if anything, will make our fees go up.

Now, if you have more to add, please do!

Anonymous said...

Just curious - If it's signed "Anonymous", how do you know that person is a little "miss"? Do you know something the rest of us don't?

Anonymous said...

The Fab Five did nothing to cause a condo fee increase however Rita Priest and Leroy Mulch and company did that.

Anonymous said...

RE: Now if you have more to add, please do.

I thought those items would be brought up so let’s hold court and clear the air.

First of all the security is now being managed by LICENSED people who KNOW what they are doing and HAVE experience. You said we have higher security cost but that’s wrong. If you’ll remember we didn’t have a security before, just a bunch of gatekeepers who gave the impression of security which carried a tremendous liability and increase the potential of future lawsuits that this Village can ill afford. Because of Aramark’s generalized billing it’s hard to say what we ever really paid them to run the gate keepers.

On the subject of lawsuits, in reality there is only one that was truly their fault. The two bridge lawsuits were before they took office. The three lawsuits for encroachments and building were said to be management’s fault and before they took office. The Arroyo Cable lawsuit was caused when the previous boards who approved and renewed the past Arroyo contracts failed to stipulate in those contracts exactly how we were to REALLY pay them. Because of that this lawsuit would have occurred whenever we stopped doing business with them. It is the manner with the Cowen Group lawsuit. A previous board failed to remove an easement right-a-way the board filed and didn’t remove when this park was going to purchase that land and didn’t. It was sold to Cowan with that easement still on file and in hand and thus the lawsuit. The only lawsuit I would say was because of them is the one that Mulch and Priest involved our Village with because of they wanted to replace a general manager who was consistently very questionable about telling the truth.

The water bill was higher because the board started to make the general manager take care of the common grounds for a change. I might add that the board previous to them had decided not to lay an effluent water pipe with the new sewer line that could have saved our park hundreds of thousands of dollars in the future.

You got me on we pay more to the attorney because of them. This Mulch-Priest lawsuit not against five but six directors cost a minimum of twenty thousand dollars more out of the owner’s pockets. If I was the insurance company I would really have to adjust for this kind of action also. All this came about for wanting our GM be accountable for his actions and words.

The board accomplished quite a bit despite having Pat Burke mediating constant chaos in April, May, June, and August, board being off in July, Hurricane Dolly, the invalid directors recall in August, and the lawsuit in September. Add to that the lawsuit’s court order which deprived the directors an easy method to accomplish anything makes one surprised that anything got done at all.

No, you’ll have to do better than just throwing out the same untrue rhetoric the SGG was telling owners. If the condo fees go up without addressing our internal operating costs, it will be the fault of who raised them, period.

Now little Miss, please give us some correct details of all the CRAP the "fab five" put us through instead of your BS (being simple). P.S. only a wonam writes so well.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, people seem to forget that tha names on the lawsuit were Rita Priest and Leroy Mulch. Now Leroy wants the Park to pay his $13,000 Lawyer bill.

People seem to forget that the major disruptions were caused by the directors, who, for some reaon, were not sued. The old board did bring us better cable and Security with a captal "S".

And to look at the figures for Security costs, only a $6,000 difference. Big Deal. At least our Security are dedicated to their jobs. Not carrying out garbage, picking up sanwiches and running errands for Larry.

Much better deal.

I am still puzzled by the astounding accuracy in comment #2 re: Pre-election forcast, and the fact noone picked up/commented before on its "dead-on" forecast. Did you have a peek at mailed in proxy results? If not, please open shop, I sure could use some of that crystal ball re: 401-K!!!!

Gee, I thought that is why fantastic Les was brought in. Not only could he run the restaurant and finally get it in the black, he could be the activities manager, too. "The best man for the job" we were told.

Now I understand that all the servers in the Grill quit Sunday a.m. and fantastic Les and our beloved Larry had to wait tables. At least they are good for something.

I find it interesting that everyone in the Grill quit. What happened there? Must be that fantastic supervisor, Les.

Now that the majority has taken over it is really getting interesting. Hang on to your hats, folks. I predict we are in for a bumpy ride! And who will get the blame this time?

Anonymous said...

Bumpy, for sure. It sounds like now there was some "hanky panky" with the proxies during the vote. It's like there were multiple proxies for the same name. More fodder for the court, I guess and more expense for us.

Anonymous said...

Who wants kids here?

Just returned from the grill, same cook, same waitress with the same smile!! put that LIE to rest.

Anonymous said...

Are you not being nice? Or are you taking a vote?
People who visit and own want children here. I would not make that important.

Anonymous said...

What's wrong with kids??

Anonymous said...

Bumpy Ride starts Wed. morning with Coffee with "The Gavel" aka PB! Word is around that there will be "RULES!!!" laid down and I assume that the Good Lord will hopefully be looking after those who may have an opinion opposite of the "Chair" aka DH or the "Gavel"! A question was raised previously about one outcome prediction and its accuracy so words about proxy "hanky-panky" should not surprise anyone. It cost Nixon the biggest job in the world!!!

Anonymous said...

Sounds like the accounting firm is going is going to have to check the proxies against the owners who may have had their proxy ballots stolen.....

Anonymous said...

The "kids" issue is connected to eh "wrist band" issue. There are those who think we should have the people here in the summer using wrist bands for the pool access.

What's a few extra kids when the sun is shining? Wrist bands are not a very friendly gesture.

Anonymous said...

Re: "The kids issue is connected with wrist bands......"

Spoken like a true "Winter Texan". Try using the pool during the summer with 10-15++ kids in it, plus some really nasty "items" floating around! You would be yelling the loudest. It is not just the renters, but the kids from PI that walk across the bridge and use the pool, plus cars loads of others who don't have rental passes. Maybe the cars will be stopped since we have real security....who knows!

Anonymous said...

Kick out the old farts that live here year round and think they have the right of manifest destiny.
Kids are OK.
If Trespassers are a problem then deal with it but not with wristbands!!!

Anonymous said...

Do you have any idea how many pools around the country require wrist bands? My grandkids have to wear one at our town pool. SPI bars require wrist bands during spring break. What the heck is the problem with wrist bands? IT'S JUST A WRIST BAND! We're not talking implanting GPS's in people. IT'S A WRIST BAND! Trust me, the kids don't care! Get a grip people. Kick out the "old farts"? The year rounders are owners. They help pay the bills just like we Winter Texan owners. I think some of you should go walk the beach, sit and read a book, and realize AND APPRECIATE what we all have here. Focus on the important stuff. Not a WRIST BAND.

Anonymous said...

The use of wristbands is a form of discrimination against the summer owners and renters.

Anonymous said...

Re: "Kick out the old farts....
Re: The use of wristbands is a form....

OK let me see if I can make this clear to you….No one is against
kids swimming and having a good time. The wrist bands are not
for discriminating against kids, or anyone else.

What we don’t like is having our pool, which we pay for, open to
any and everyone who wants to drop in for a “wee dip”. Without
some way to control who uses the pool chaos reigns.

The “summer people” and renters (this includes their kids) have a
perfect right to use the pool as they have paid for that privilege. What we “year around old farts” object to are the people who are not renters, have not paid for use of the pool and kids who just walk across the bridge to use it.

I do believe as a Winter Texas you are probably the same person who
thinks LIV looks great year around! Well, “Hello” it doesn’t. We really do love our Winter Texan friends, but just wish some of them were a little more in touch with reality.

Anonymous said...

If wrist bands are going to be required, it should be year round.

Otherwise, let Security deal with people slipping into the Park.

At least we now have real Security.

Anonymous said...

So now we hear the full timers think the winter texans are "space cadets".

It sounds like you really think there are First Class and Second Class groups of owners.

Sort of like the French aristocracy
before the masses lopped off their heads in the Basille in 1789.

Are you saying we adults can't keep kids who don't live here out of the park? And what do a few extra kids matter anyway?

It might help our community relations with Port Isabel if we were a little more flexible.

Anonymous said...

I am a winter texan.

what you don't realize with the kids in summer is their misbehaving, wearing clothes in the pool, not wanting to obey the rules that are there for their safety and ours and many were entering in past years, before armbands, without being an owner or renter.

Having a good relationship with the locals is important but not to the extent we lose our Eden.

Anonymous said...

Are you for real? Let the PI hellions in our park to use our facilities which we pay for? Let them go to the public beach! After all, there is a beach across the bridge - there is also free transportation to get there - The Wave.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Les should be watching the pool for "intruders". He is the activities manager, right?

Anonymous said...

Discrimination and earlier implications of racism. Shame on whoever is trying to bring this "stuff" into our Village because it is so not true. You want a bunch of senior citizens hauling off to water exercise class with a wristband every day? A new one every day, of course. (That will cost some bucks) The fact that they are here from 3 to 6 months year after year and everyone knows them and knows they belong here doesn't matter, right? It's just not the same in summer when you have new people in and out constantly. It's not DISCRIMINATION - it's COMMON SENSE. Owners who spend time here in the summer should come and join us in the winter. See the difference for yourselves. It shouldn't be Year Rounders and Summer People and Winter Texans. It should just be OWNERS WHO LOVE THIS VILLAGE.

Anonymous said...

so where is Les during all of this?
Shouldn't he be out there watching out for our interests?

Put somebody that's on the payroll out there watching for stuff.

Again, what's wrong with a few extra kids? Or maybe we work out a time just for the kids.

Anonymous said...

People say that we are not clean and our children are noisy we own here to and pay dues. Some people are only here three months. We come to have fun.

Anonymous said...

Excuse me.. when is Les leaving?
Will that not ad extra money to our budget Mary?
Does anyone know when hes leaving and taking his father in law with him?

Anonymous said...

Great picture Joey. Thanks for all your hard work. Don't pay any attention to the Larry Lovers.

Anonymous said...

Now we hear that Rita and LeRoy are having parties trying to raise money to keep their lawsuit going against the six former directors. They have yet to dismiss the lawsuits against the directors they said was to save the Park.

Getting a new board was not enough. They want to keep the turmoil going. A continuing lawsuit against the former directors will cost the Park's Insurance company.

So it looks like it was never for the good of the Park but that they had a private agenda all along.

Anonymous said...

I heard an entirely different story. I heard that they are trying to raise money to pay off the legal bills incurred with the lawsuit and put the whole thing behind them.
I was told they have no intention of continuing the lawsuit.

Anonymous said...

That's what I like to hear! It would be appreciated if Leroy and Reta would do that, drop the suit.

It would take mighty big and brave people to announce that.
There can be no strings attached either, for instance...
( KEEP LARRY AND WE DROP THE SUIT)....Not acceptable.

RP and LM, make that statement to all. This way there would be no confusion or gossip. It will be the words you choose say.

I personaly still want LD, KD and LH to leave their employment.
I* hope this doesn't pose a problem? It's still the sediment of many.

The next meeting would be a good time guys!

Anonymous said...

Isn't it amazing the 'stories' that are out there, just like this summer, all the stories of Hansen, McBride, and Peterson wanting to put themselves in as employees and run the park, when all they really wanted was for the Gm to be accountable for his actions and to do his job.

Anonymous said...

Someone should write a book, it could be titled "LIV's Fairy Tales" with all the stories out there.

Anonymous said...

re: I heard an entirely different story...They have no intention of continuing the lawsuit.

Then call off the dogs and end the lawsuit.

Anonymous said...

re: I heard an entirely different story...They have no intention of continuing the lawsuit.

Then call off the dogs and end the lawsuit.

Anonymous said...

Then why haven't they dismissed the lawsuit? Ask them that.

Anonymous said...

Re: Priest/Mulch lawsuit......

The reason they would not continue the lawsuit is because it was based on nothing but lies, rumors and innuendos.

Basically they are just a bunch of losers.

I am continually hearing one word here STORY RUMORS stop!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I'm apologize for saying what I "heard". I didn't talk to them personally. I just heard through the grapevine that they want it to be over. I will not pass STORY RUMORS on again. You are right. It needs to stop.

They have not dismissed the lawsuit. Ask them. Or check with the court. That is not a rumor.

Everyone was SHOCKED to see Larry golfing yesterday in the drinking tournament--who knew he golfed! I wonder if he noticed how dry the course is, how poor some of the greens are, and how rough his "new fairway on 16" is (dead sod piled on bare ground). About time he got out in the village for a look around--maybe we can expect improvements? hahahahha

Joey, some people where wondering, if we got together and bought you a wireless video camera for your computer..do you think you could take it to the meetings, connected to your laptop? We have wireless there so it would be possible. You could record meetings and post them via UTUBE or LIV WEBPAGE! What do you think? We really enjoy reading your BLOG...This would take us one step further into the future!
Thanks
Please respond!

It has been reported to us that Catherine DeMalade and/or Reta Priest have been passing around information about how bad we are and that "we owe someone $20,000 and they are going to take us to court." If we owe anyone any money, they can come to the So. Padre Office Center and we will write them a check.

We find it inappropriate that anyone associated with management or with the Board of Directors of Long Island Village or Aramark would use our name behind our back to harm us.

Wow, in the latest picture on the opening page of this blog, the pool looks crystal clear, or at least clear enough I can see the lane markers? at the bottom of the pool...so...what's the problem?

Don't the Vaughans publish the monthly newsletter? Is this more of Rita and LeRoy's court antics to get money out of somebody, anybody?

They still haven't dismissed the current lawsuit against the Directors.

RE: WILL HARM US!!!!
Welcome to our WORLD!
Just go up and ask them if its true... Thats all! And the person saying it should be ashamed of theirself.

Why would Rita or KD be spreading these rumors about the Vaughans? What's going on with them anyway, unless they are just out to get money froma anyone they can....Is Leroy in on this???

RE: Wow, in the latest picture on the opening page of this blog, the pool looks crystal clear.

If you notice the water is calm and green. The blue lines show for a period of time and disappear. That pool lacks filtration or chlorine or both. If you think it's so clean then you wouldn't mind taking a bath in the water that 30 other people cleaned themselves in. It took management " 7 " days to close the pool. Again not thinking of the Villager's safety makes me worry.

So, Rita, LeRoy, when are you going to dismiss the lawsuit? Still trying to squeeze some money out of somebody, anybody you can???
