Interesting...
There is already a phone tree from the SGG telling residents who to vote for.

Anonymous said...

The SGG is having their own "meet and greet" this afternoon for their candidates.....didn't invite all of those people who are running....

Honesty must be your only agenda.
Do the right thing.Protecting the owners property and rights is your duty.
Honest fact checking regardless of what those amoung us tell you seek out the facts.
Stop the rumor mongors by asking for facts in writing that are signed by those that will tell the truth.
The only thing that will destroy us at LIV is deception on the part of those that we entrust our park management to.
PLEASE ask the hard questions of ALL that run for the board, stand up and be counted.
If you disagree please have the courage to sign your post.

And its just OK if the SGG has a meet and greet, now I know who not to vote for. Anyone associated with that , group is off my list!

Who is checking to make sure our candidates are qualified to run for the board. What about Pat Burke? If she is not the legal owner why is she on the board or running again.

Anonymous said...

The election committee has checked ALL of the candidates running for office and they are all legal. Please put this rumor to rest that Pat Burke is not legal.

Election committee

Who rendered "legal" opinion on Pat Burkes' status or did the Election Committee sprinkle the "holy water" on her application by them selves? Sure would like to know who was "invited" the the party so the "association factor" can come into play at ballot time. Anybody know? With 17 candidates I will have to have a "score-card/program" to tell the players from the "SGG" coaches!

Anonymous said...

The legal opinion was rendered by the board lawyer, Ramona. Election Committee

did Liz have all 17 checked by the lawyer or just Pat? this is just like the tires and the hydrant, put it to REST!!!!!!!!!

Residents we really need to think about the candidates

*Past BOD-what they did to improve the park and how they impacted relationships

*New candidates-what plans they have to make the park and relationships better

Anonymous said...

The passed boards improved the park..the GM improved the park as he seen fit. The passed board was LAZY.. Let the GM do what he wanted. Didn't follow rules, spent money we didn't have ...didn't put any away.
What if we all did that?
We wouldn't have had a stake in LIV.
If I spent and spent and spent. Spent money I didn't have I would be like the government is now and the way LIV has headed. Maybe even some of our lives.
If I make a penny I have to know where that penny went. LIV monies are my monies your monies.
There has to be a clear accountability for where it goes.

It's that easy... a no brainer.

My husbands money is my money and vise a versa. We are a team.. this park should be a team. We are all on the same side for crying out loud.

RE: this park should be a team
What a novel idea!
The only problem is how can we be a team when we have a BOD and a resident suing other BODs?
What kind of team do we have if the leader is a liar?
How can we expect be a team we there is a group of people telling residents what nine people to vote for because they want the park to be like it used to be?

How many times do we have to remind some of our owners that LIV is not in it for a profit! We are in it to make our village a better place and sometimes that takes money. If you don't like our GM there are two scenarios.

1) If the majority of the people agree with you, he can be relieved of his duties.

2) If the majority DISAGREES with you, you can either deal with it for a while or you can sell out.

Your problem seems to be that you can't accept the fact that you are not in the majority. Will you accept it in March?

Well, well, well,

Now we have COOL-Concerned Owners of Long Island Village, passing out info about 'their' candidates.
Looks like they want LIV to go back to the old ways with their
'chosen ones'
Beware...

COOL, Concerned Owners Of Long island... well at least it's better acronym than a previous coalition of fools years ago...COCO (Coalition of Concerned Owners, remember them?), aka coocoos.

FYI...LIV Owners as a whole are a bunch of coocoos, as they demonstrate their stupidity on a continual basis.

Sign me..."Sick of it in PI, Padre, and everywhere else LIV'ers spew their vomit!"

Oh yes, I can remember those good old days. PB reigned supreme & had no interest in listening to anyone. She has even been heard saying "she knows better then we do what is best for us". I remember, she and several other former board members like VM, DH, DP, & MS on that "cool" list failed to ever evaluate the GM & totally allowed him to do what ever he wanted with our money, with no accountability. I also find it interesting that they "acknowledge" the achievements of the other "current" board members...like the major improvements on the Golf Course (EM & RH) & getting TW in here (MND), but do not think you should vote for them. What did the "cool" ones achieve? They supported & help to finance lawsuits & fought against getting 3 bids. Thank God MND insisted on 3 bids for the swimming pool & saved us $26,000. I, for one, don't care to go back to those good(?)old days.

Residents,
Please read very carefully the COOL's 'chosen ones' applications. There certainly is a lot of support for the GM and his lies. Again...
BEWARE!

Do we really want DH, DP, VM, JG, SR, BG on the BOD?
NO WAY!

Anonymous said...

RE: Do we really want...
You left off PB!!

I was appauled at SR behavior at the trash and treasure on SAT. I was a shopper and she was sitting at her table saying nasty things about a current board member with total disregard to her surrounding, talking loud enough to be heard a distance away. We don't need people like her representing residents at LIV.

Anonymous said...

Re: I was appauled...
Does that surprise you about SR?
You are right we don't need people like her representing us.

Anonymous said...

I heard her too! I couldn't believe the ugly things she was saying about other candidates. If she thinks this is what we want on the BOD, she is sadly mistaken. She is just as vicious and cruel as RP & CD were this summer harassing people. Our village will never heal with people like her & her "cool" friends.

Anonymous said...

All of a SUDDEN like, I feel like voting for SR! Go SR! Put an end to all this nonsense!

Come on, March!

Anonymous said...

SR... I dont think so Bad attitude why don't you stay at what you do best. You need to be taken in small doses. You have caused so much pain in this park..you, rp, and company. NO NO NO
Calling BINGO Is all I want to hear of you.

Bingo! We have a winner! Oh, no, wait a minute, she didn't call that one--you jummped the gun. You've now embarrased your whole table. Continue on, SR, let's find a REAL winner!

Anonymous said...

Re: BINGO
You really want someone like SR on the board who feels as if it's all about her?
Just listen to her talk sometime.

The list of candidates put out by "COOL" is a joke.
Why would residents want those people to be on the BOD? Unless it's to give LD the power to do as he wishes, which is the way it was when the majority of the names on that list were BOD.

Anonymous said...

Last Sat at Trash & Treasure LD gave SR a big hug & smooch. That's all I had to know about her.

Come On March let's get our park back.

Anonymous said...

Thank you to whoever put together the HOT info.
It is well written and certainly thought provoking.
It's unfortunate that Catherine Demalade felt it necessary to throw them away before the majority of the people at the meeting had a chance to read it.

Anonymous said...

OK, here's who I think would make a good BOD
Ted Burns, Martha Nell Dodson, Rick Hansen, Joe Long, Ed McBride, Eddie Montalvo, Mary Steffensen, Annita White, and Robert(Bob)Wilson
I think this group would work together to make LIV better.

This would give us Valley people, a Canadian, year round residents, and a northerner

How is Bob Wilson going to get by the rule - You cannot miss more than 3 meetings in a row? He talked about web-cam but that has not happened and will it be expensive to install? Where in the budget would we be able to find the funds at any cost? I don't believe in skipping our July meeting just so those directors won't be affected. That goes for the permanent residents who reside here now who want off June,July &
August. This is a business and must
continue monthly.
