A TIDBIT

Good news!
The new Hayward WGX1048E VGB drain covers have been installed for the indoor pool and hot tubs. I hope our management has figured out what
to install for the second level of entrapment protection for the pool. The hot tubs may need the second also.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO TO BECOME COMPLIANT
• On all drains, install a NEW ASME/ANSI A112.19.8 performance standard anti-vortex or anti-entrapment cover (currently being developed)
• On all pools or spas that have single drains that are not unblockable OR two main drains measuring less than 36” apart (three-feet from center to center ) per pump must have at least one additional level of entrapment protection (See above)

Great news, finally! Yes, let's hope the pools and spas are FULLY compliant with all the regs, and not just the drain covers.

Your on a roll Larry! Keep it up!

Hmmm, just wondering if this had never been brought up on the blog, would it have gotten done? Did management already know about the VGB Act or learn of it from this blog?

I hope this BLOG opens a lot of peoples eyes! And yes it did help, the GM said they where already set and met the codes! Yeah Right!

I'm sure the GM sits around and reads this blog all day, and does exactly as he's told within. Yeah, right! That's why he makes that big money y'all keep talkin' about!

This blog is like the "New York Times" and so what we need now is an L.I.V. talk radio station to keep the "Times" in check!

OH believe me he reads it , I know!
He wasnt happy at first, its his wife that tells him about it now. I know that too!
Whats wrong with reading this BLOG?
Sometimes its informative. Sometimes we complain
But we always have a voice.
I feel good after I write in it.
No one can talk back or tell you to shut up and sit down or your times up!

Re: "No one can talk back"

Now we've gotten to the bottom of this whole blog thing. Most of the people who contribute to this blog feel better after doing so because they finally got their wacko idea out without someone pointing out its flaws and with what SEEMS to be the approval of the majority. The TRUE majority will be heard in March.

The true majority will be heard in March and it won't include the SGG candidates......

Great! Then maybe he'll see and consider the suggestions I made in the January Suggestion Box on this blog - about getting properly permitted and employing licensed wastewater and water distribution operators for our systems here at LIV in order to comply with state regs. Currently, LIV's systems are not registered or permitted by TCEQ, nor does LIV comply with regs regarding LICENSED maintenance employees who are operating and maintaining the systems.

And this is not a criticism of the GM - LIV has not complied with these regs since LONG before GM or Aramark ever arrived here. On the contrary, GM could be a hero and leave his legacy by becoming the GM who finally brought LIV into compliance with these state laws, and ensuring that LIV's drinking water and wastewater systems are safer for residents.

I don't know about the reg's but I do know that the indoor pool is not propertly monitored and the chlorene allways too high.
Ask the woman who have to buy a new bathing suit every two weeks because the suits are destroyed by the chlorine.
Is our GM checking on the pool company or is he treating it the way he treated the Time Warner sub contractors?
And ask them what effect it has on their hair.
The GM needs to go!!!

Re: "chlorene allways woman sub contractors"

People who can't read and write have no business deciding when the GM goes or stays!!!

JP needs to go!

shame on you for poking fun!
Nelson Rockefeller,Cher,Thomas Edison, and many other could not read and write.
You my Anonymous writer are very very shallow. And who are you not to make mistakes?
Never mind, I dont care to know you!

Now, now, I didn't say that people had to be able to read and write to be valuable members of society. They just have no business telling our GM how he ought to run the village.

RE: "Now, now, I didn't say that people had to be able to read..."

Reading and writing are learned skills. However, telling the truth and being honest comes from within yourself. If you are born without a sense of honesty then you can't learn it! You either have it or you don't.

The GM doesn't know fiction from fact and can't give the same answer twice!

Sad but true. Sorry Ms. Anonymous you have bet on the wrong horse. The majority of people don't want people, who can't tell the truth, running their community.

Can you say "Management Accountabilty"??? Didn't think you could.

Re: "The majority of people don't want people, who can't tell the truth, running their community."

How many commas should we put in this question?

Maybe not, but they don't want 3 of that type on the board of directors, either! They don't want 3 more that will listen and believe those lies, either.
