Anyone can write min's even a 5 th grader. Min's.... things that need discussion.
Topics are # one through whatever. And you start.. if 5 is discussed before 2 ...then just change the numbers.

Now!!!!!!!! you can never go wrong with VIDEO, No mistakes there. with the technology we have today. and the prices are so reasonable .The camera on a tripod needs only to be pointed at the board.. IN THIS CASE pb.
The disks are burnt on CD's as copies and each BOD gets one.
Get someone else to do the min's! A college student looking for extra credit!
OK dp your on!

Video was mentioned to the board president years ago (DH) and he said no because of potential lawsuits.

Anonymous said...

you know lets mention VIDEO again!
What DUMMY is going to say NO !BECAUSE IT MIGHT CAUSE a LAWSUIT!

We are the people... If we want video then we want video! Do you think we want this!
Video is used in school board meetings town meeting court proceedings.

Lawsuit, yeah right.
Videos are used all the time in meetings.
What do we haveto be ashamed of!

I think I'm going to be sick!
NO vote for DH!

Anonymous said...

RE: No to video "because of potential lawsuits?"
Are you kidding me? That sounds like something pb would say. Most all organizations video their meetings these days to "avoid" lawsuits. I think a "potential lawsuit" would more likely arise from altering minutes.

Anonymous said...

I think taping the meetings is a great idea.

We can make sure that this is a question to be asked. Anyone running for office ,should not have a problem with it!. That can be on the voting ballot.. Check yes or no (Video monitored meetings).

Please just change something!

Great picture Joey...also liked the one you had up yesterday.

I think video taping the meetings is a good idea. Maybe with a camera in her face PB won't rant so much....or maybe she would "play" to the camera....who knows. At least that way there would be lasting record of what the GM said...that could prove interesting!

I want to congratulate our new President of the United States of America

President Barack Obama.

We live in time that is making history, I am a proud American and except him as my president. I look forward to an exciting 4 years, no matter what my party preference.

I am also looking forward to changes with our new board of directors (TO BE ELECTED.) in March.

I thought I voted for change with the current board. This was not the change I expected.

It's unfortunate that the three senior members couldn't stretch their hands across the table to be more helpful.

Re: I want to congratulate our new President of the United States.....

Can't say I agree with you there! At least after two years it's over!!!

As far as the BOD goes, it is "kinda" hard for the 4 new BODs to do all they have wanted because of senior BODs, lawsuits, recall letters and other things.

What do you (or anyone) think all this turmoil has been about? It was to keep the new member's hands tied so to speak.

As far as the 3 senior BOD members "stretching their hands across the table", it won't happen. These members want total control of the BOD and in the long run the Village.

LIV will only see peace when the current GM is gone. Sad, but true.

Anonymous said...

While the action to dismiss the GM was apparent. I do believe the newly elected members acted hastily.
A carefully planned approach should have been in place.
This event was merely people sticking up for a friend.

Just look at who we voted for and won, the voice of the village spoke. We wanted people who would do the work of ridding the GM.

One day the GM will leave. Nothing is forever!
A lot will depend on who gets elected. I have a feeling the GM will be leaving soon.

Anonymous said...

Re: while the action to dismiss the GM was apparent.....

The hasty action was precipitated by President Sullivan, the letter to Armark was written by him (even tho it was never mailed) so let's don't blame everything on the 4 new BODs. The 3 "senior" BOD members who will not "reach across the table" and the horrible display started by friends of the GM didn't do one thing to help events come to a peaceful ending.
And no these were not just people sticking up for a friend. I watched CD go around to certain people and fill them in on what was happening. It was a planned demostration/outburst!

Yes, the GM will be gone one day, but will it be too late for LIV?

We need to all realize that what has happened with the SGG, recall, lawsuit, PB's rants is all to help get control (once again) of the BOD.

Anonymous sounds like a very angry player. I suggest you channel your anger into a more positive format. Like the FUTURE
We have to get by this!

Aw Joey, where is the really great pic you had up the other day. The one of the village taken from across the IC?? While this one is OK, the other one is just great. A bridge to nowhere (?) is that what our village is like?

Now that is what I call a "wanga"

EVERYONE ATTEND THE COFFEE WITH DIRECTORS ON WED NOV 12 @ 9 AM

Yes to the video taping the meetings. That's the best way to be accountable for what's said during the meetings.

Anonymous said...

Will someone bring it up at the meeting about video? I dont think you should bring any new business to this board. PB will say no and LM will second it. The next board has to be ask. This board stinks. NEXT PLEASE!

For the inquiring minds:
Annita will be doing the music at the cocktail party on Monday for tips only.
The $2 at the door will help cover the last 2 events that went in the hole because there were not enough people in attendance.
Go to the party, it will be fun!

It is too sad that the GM supporters feel that they have to make loud comments and catcalls whenever a BOD other that PB, MS, or LM speak at a meeting. They act so childish. They are disrespectful and rude.
I appreciate the new BOD members more now than ever. I am grateful that they have the decorum to try to run LIV as a business, get bids on work that needs to be done, and make the GM accountable.
People have put blind faith in the GM and have let him run the park irresponsibly.
We really need to support the new BOD members and let them know we appreciate what they are doing and all they've gone through.

liv resident:
I totally agree with you. This is my first meeting since I've returned from the North and I couldn't believe the behavior demonstrated by some of the residents.
It's obvious that the new BOD members want to make the GM accountable and question his actions.
I don't know of a business out there that this doesn't happen everyday.
Any professional Board of Directors question the actions of the people in charge of their company. Isn't that what the GM is, in charge of LIV?
The new BOD has my support it is time for change and it's too bad that some residents don't see the error of their ways and that change can be a good thing.

Anonymous said...

I absolutely agree with the above comment. We need to show our support for the new BOD's. They are trying to be professional & run this place like a business. I cannot believe how crude the others are. I'm sure it's a plan to give the illusion of many when there are but few. Notice how they position themselves strategically throughout the room? I believe that PB is the ring leader.

Hang in there MN, EM, RH, & JP. You all have more support then you know.

I am wondering why I never see Larry and/or Armando driving around the Village every day inspecting everything. You always saw Dave Fletcher and Armando make their rounds every morning, and they knew what lots needed to be cleaned up, fined, whatever. Does Larry and/or Armando still do this? Me thinks no with the questions and comments at the coffee in regards to lots still in disrepair after Dolly and such. Just something to think about.

YAWNINGGGGG wake me when someone has something new to say!

in fact wake me in March!

there all going anyway so let them play and have their last horraaa
nite

Joey just want to know... do you have to have your notes approved by someone on the board, before you print them in the BLOG?

Anonymous said...

This board does not need support nor does the recently voted in members. The only support this BOD will get from me... is a vote for someone else. So I can support their retirement!
So long to all of you! And that manager too!
I want brand new people, people who have never served before. And I want Mexican people to run also.. Three or four of them. They need a voice,

Joey said...

No, no one has to approve my take of the board meetings. This last one is taking longer due to tech. difficulties.

Happy Thanksgiving LIV!

Lets all take tomorrow off, eat, have fun and then go back to our respective corners and take up the good fight, once again!

Gobble on!

what happens if we get only 6 people to run for office? If we are lucky! Help?

Joey...really do like this pic!
Sure wish I could take ones as good.

Holiday time brings parties, gatherings and PO Boxes full of invitations…BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE! Some of us have received invites to an OH SO SELECT and
OH SO SECEREAT meeting of the SGG. This will take place December 3rd in the Arts & Crafts room.

The purpose is to plan how to disrupt future Coffees, BOD meetings, plus create general unrest in the village. Of course, the term “creating unrest” isn’t used.

While these people want to keep the GM and his wife it goes far deeper. Their dislike for 5 of the board members (President Sullivan is not included in this 5) runs so deep they can’t see anything else.

Yes, come March we will have a new BOD, but nothing will really change as far as the SGG is concerned UNLESS they win majority of board. If the winners do not
agree with the SGG then it will be the same old S#@%T again. You see a precedence has been set. The last litigation basically worked in their favor.

This madness must stop! One or all of the 5 BOD members must make the court aware of this action by the SGG (among other Agreement 11 infractions). The four new BOD’s plus DY are trying to hold the GM accountable for his actions and how
he spends our money. Certainly this can’t be wrong.

And to think all of this hate, spite and division came about just because PB was not appointed BOD president again. How sad.

Joey can you educate Jenny that there are no snowbirds here, but we do have winter Texans.

Anonymous said...

Officially known as the Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the Snowbirds are Canada's military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team.

The term Snowbird is used to describe people from the Northeast, Midwestern United States, or Canadians who spend a large portion of winter in warmer locales such as California, Arizona, Florida, Southern Texas

And so are you educated! I hope this changed your world and you can sleep tonight.

Just another anonymous sick and tired LIV owner.

Anonymous said...

Re: "Joey can you educate...."

Come on folks lighten up....Snowbirds is just a general term of speach and Jenny didn't mean any disrespeact by it. Frankly the lower valley/LIV is the first time I had heard the term "Winter Texan".

What does it matter if we are called "Snowbirds or Winter Texans" as long we aren't called late for the cocktail hour!!!

Party on!!

I don't see Pat Burke's name on any legal document filed with the county...the deed at the county has only her mother's name. How is she qualified as an owner and therefore eligible to serve on the BOD?

Anonymous said...

Re: "I don't see Pat Burke's name....

She isn't an owner nor is she qualified to be on the BOD. Time to call the Judge!

Would someone, anyone, PLEASE make the court aware of this...or better yet have the BOD tell her to step down. Folks, her being on the BOD is against out By Laws etc etc etc. Maybe removing her is something the BOD Prez should do...if so there may be a problem.

Anonymous said...

I already asked that question and expressed my concerns Pat not being an owner few years ago! Good luck getting an answer. I was told her dad owns it. She pays him rent. When I tryed further questioning ..I was ignored.

Anonymous said...

I cannot believe what I'm reading. If what "Livid in LIV" said is true, THINK ABOUT IT...The SGG (for lack of a better name) have proclaimed that if they do not agree with who we elect in March they will, in essence, hi-jack the BOD. These people obviously have decided that they will run this village whether the majority wants them to or not! Have we become a third world country?

livid is expressing what he/she thinks that mtg is for and what will tke place!! here AGAIN " peop[le talk and people listen" however this is probably not talk it is rambling on and on and on and on etc etc

Anonymous said...

Questions I hope are answered soon:
"Why shouldn't the BOD ask questions of the GM?"
"What's wrong with accountability?"
"Do we really want things to go back to how they were, with the GM having free reign to do whatever he wishes without consulting with the BOD?"
Anybody have answers???

Anonymous said...

Re: Livid is expressing......

WOW guess I hit a nerve with my comments. Wonder if the SGG et al will pay rent to use the Art & Crafts room since this meeting isn't open to the public...humm.

Can't wait for the SGG comment to this one.

I suggest changing the November suggestions to December suggestions.
