Welcome Villagers
The monitoring of the 2010 Board will continue. There were again some discrepancies from last year and at the start of this year by the Board President. I am happy to say there is positive change with our new management.
This blog more than ever will try to further the transparency of all issues and reveal any half truths. If you are a concerned owner, either past or present, feel free to comment.
If you disagree on an issue, that’s ok, you have the right to voice your opinion. Comments containing vulgar language, racism, invalid promotions, or something that appears to be nothing more than a personal vendetta will not be posted. Please refrain from trivial back and forth bickering for it serves no one.

Again the board meeting was out of control due to the board president. Again the GM told us a different story on a subject. Again Pat Burke played to the unruly rude crowd. Again the new directors were belittled for trying to make our GM accountable and sneered for questioning expenditures. If this small group of rude owners wishes to have things the way they were years ago, they should wake up and realize that things do change. If they wish to go through the rest of their short lives oblivious to the many wrongs happening to our park, then do it, but don’t for a minute think I or my family will idly sit by and see this small "pro GM" group create a financial and spiritual ruin of this special place of ours. Keep it up and the silent majority will come forth.
although I don't agree with some of the interuptions if I were sittng up there I would certainly get the hint I was not wanted!!

There is so many other silent majority out there that feel the same way that you stated in your great comment!!! The President could have stated at the first of the meeting that anyone in the rude crowd will be asked to leave. He must not know the rules for the meeting.He has been a terrible President! Martha Nell you are right.
Nobody wants to be on the Board but they can sure criticize all the
hard work you do when they don't know all the facts.
Please, Joey, hurry and put up the synopsis of the board meeting for those of us who choose not to go to the meetings. Just because we are not there does not mean we don't care or are uninterested. Thank you for the wonderful blog!
why does anyone want to attend the meetings.
They cant do anything without us. We can read Joes blog and read the minutes in the activity room.
don't we have anything else better to do then to listen to that. or is that our new form of entertainment?? I think we go for the show. Like some people like the races and wait for an accident. I say boycott the meetings. Lets stop being nosey! They will be going soon!
Why don't you leave your check book with the GM instead of being nosey. These board members have saved thousands of dollars so far even with our GM doing stupid things like the fire hydrant. It's our right to attend the meetings to see what's to be in our future and to be better informed. If everyone would have attended the meetings they would have known that the reasons in the recall were bogus.
I for one do not understand this rude group. From where I sit meeting after meeting I see board members questioning the waste of my money. The check Marth Nell didn't sign is just one example of our GM's waste of our money.Maybe he was going to split the difference with the contractor.
As far as attending the meetings there is good reason. I want to hear for myself what is said and by who. From what I have read in the Blog it is right on the money. However it is still my wish to hear for myself.

After the banks fall apart and what money we do have is lost because its not secured by FDIC there wont be any monies
to manage.
So just go fishing and forget about saving the world.

What in the world is this garbage about voting. I just received my letter from Mr. Mulch and I don't understand what this is about. I thought Mr. Hall wanted people to be allowed to speak their feelings. What are we voting on? How can you get proxy votes mailed in when we do not know what we are voting for? What happened to the court order? I thought that was putting a stop to this mess until March.
I attended the November Board meeting. In the beginning an owner spoke to the fact that the board is acting like children. if that is so, then the audience is acting like spoiled toddlers. It is very unsettling to attend these meetings when some members of the audience are always making comments about what everyone says. This was a business meeting and some of the members of the baord were not even allowed to express their opinions without groans, rude comments, etc. The president of the board should have asked for quiet and those who could not contain themselves should have been asked to leave. Out meetings are becoming a circus. I left at the break because it is such a fiasco.

This is just another ploy of the SGG. I understand that when the president was asked what the letter was all about, he said he didn't know. What does that tell you? DS is a puppet for PB, LM, MS, and LD.
Burke is probably the author of the letter and Mulch signed it as secretary.
The proxy again isn't worth the paper it was printed.

READ THE LETTER!!!!!! It does not say anything about voting!!!!!!!! This is how rumors get started and snowball. Hall asked for a speacial meeting to discuss the present boards inability to function

Run them out.. We are stuck with a disconcerting board. It happens. Its unfortunate,but that the way it goes.
We, the voters did our best to vote people in that would make the changes we needed. This board let us down. The only thing we can do now is wait. Wait till their terms are up.

What you need to do is forget them. Start finding people that will make changes.
I would also go back to the judge and talk to him about this letter that is going around.I would also mention to the Judge, proxy votes can be bought and collected in an unfair way.
We should NO Thave proxy votes. LIV residents are well aware of the goings on. Believe me they know the importance of the next election!

OK, I was at the meeting when Bob Hall spoke about a meeting for owners to be able to speak. There was never a vote from the BOD as to what the agenda would be or what to be discussed. There was no discussion about the conduct of the BOD or discussion about drafting an enthics/conduct guidelines for owners serving on the BOD.
What's up with that.
It seems as if Patricia Burke and LeRoy Mulch definitely have an agenda.

no consequences for Jim Peterson violating a direct Court order to board members that they cannot discuss HOA business directly with Aramark employees?(see item 10 of the court agreement)

The present BOD would function just fine if PB would keep her mouth shut. The Fabulous Five (Dodson, Hansen, McBride, Peterson, and Young) are looking out for the LIV residents best interest when asking questions about the GM's actions.
I applaud them for doing so, since the previous BOD let the GM do whatever he wanted.
I've attended meetings for 3 years and finally this last year someone is questioning the GM.
NOT A THING WRONG WITH THAT!
I want someone to make sure my money is being spent in the right way. I like that the Fab Five asks questions. I bet there are many others who do too!
