IS OUR VILLAGE PHENOMENA A POSSIBLE THREAT?

Does our Village have a phenomena far more threatening than another Hurricane Dolly?

Might it come from some petty group with this dire need to victimize certain individuals and strived to dismantle repeatedly our Board of Directors in every way imaginable?

From a small crowd launching salvos of rumors, innuendoes, and blatant lies as an apparent punishment to any concern owner whose crime was voicing an opinion towards Village management? A management they were paying for.

Can it be a tiny throng who has every Village owner afraid of reprisal when keeping company with somebody who had publicly disagreed with this so called “cackling choir?”

Or maybe it’s that petite pack who tells owners if they don’t like it, move?

Don't you feel a touch of shame emerge for not reacting strongly towards a heartless beldam, who enjoyably went about flaunting an owner’s ancient personal past through our Village just because it was in the public records?

Have you felt yet that warm sense of ire towards this tiny horde for their reason lacking recall letter that’s trying to rid our Village of the very directors who made management, for the first time, accountable for their actions? The only Directors that have shown real concern at what owners had to say in every Coffee with the Directors meetings?

Are we seeing this unchallenged horde-pack-throng-crowd-group being successful at creating a plethora of enmity growing at every turn? Am I the next one to have a rumor, innuendo, or a blatant lie accusing me of doing something for writing this, or possibly you for reading it?

Do you not find it especially disturbing to have a member riding rough-shod over our entire Board?

It would seem to be the most poignant moment in our Village history.

Does our Village deserve a better manager, or one that needs to be force to do better? Does our Village seek a perfect manager, or one who won’t think of himself as perfect? Does our Village need to hire a manager that has all the answers, or one that gives you all of an answer? It may be difficult for our Village to know for sure if they have hired the right manager, but it should not be hard for our Village to know when we have an apparent wrong one.
Which do we have?

This is just such a waste. Is it not the time for a change of direction?

Great job Joey! I say Get rid of the problem and lets get headed in the right direction. Go Board! Don't let the bullies prevail. It will only get worse. Do it now!!!!!!

The fat lady hasn't sung yet. Truth will prevail!!!!

It would be a sad day if the board members walked out. That means they where defeated by school yard antics. Nixon walked out Stabler walked out even our own VP walked out of a meeting, Martha left crying. I believe the SCG are trying to make a point. Tit for tat.
There is no comparison to asking GM to leave verses asking the board members to leave.
The GM needs to go. AND DENNIS NEEDS TO SHAPE UP!

In reference to Stabler walking out, I believe he'd had enough of the GM's lies and deception and just couldn't take it anymore.
Also it seemed he was one member who was trying to make the GM accountable but the other BOD members didn't support that concept.

Many of us had enough of the GM also.. That's why we vote for board members that will represent the people. People that can get the job done. And not HAVE ENOUGH OF THIS AND THAT take their marbles and go home. If we cant count on them we have to count on people like the SGG. I find that elected officials have very big egos and let them get in the way of what needs to be done. Just get over yourselves GEZZZ! And as far as a very disappointing board member PB. Why is she allowed to act like she does. I'm sure the other 8 have had enough of her!
You know why even go to the polls and vote. Its a joke why should I waste my time and energy. You all do what you want anys.
I'll tell you, when I went to the polls to vote is wasnt because of friendship or respect. It was for what that person intended to accomplish. Well the jokes on me and many others I'm starting to have lean towards the SGG at least they fight for what they want!

We all resist change and some resist more than others. The new BOD members tried to make some good changes for the park, the other BOD members want things to stay the same. Change is inevitable.
The SGG functions on revenge, lies, and untruths. Who would want to be associated with them?

Talk about egos. PB has a HUGE one and just can't stand to not be in the spotlight.
She needs to listen and not interrupt everybody. She doesn't even let other BOD members finish their sentences.

It seems to me that Burke, Mulch & Steffensen don't care about the village, they spend all their time & energy defending Larry. Don't they get it? If he was any good at all, he wouldn't need defending.

Good job...who pays for our
lawyer..RP?, since she is the one
causing all the problems. Imagine
it's not over yet, but it really
should be..it's time to get on to
more pressing items...right Reta.

an observation life was great and problemless til the TERRIBLE THREE got elected with their hateful and divisive agendas.

You would have my respect if this group would just put this to rest.
I respect your gallant efforts to defend the GM. I don't agree how it transpired. But a point was taken.
I only hope the GM and his wife appreciate it. Please put this rest now.

Hey up there.....could you please explain, or clearly state, why you and the SGG hate these 3 new BODs?

I know I am not alone in wanting to know exactly what they have done. If you can't give a reason then your ire must be chalked up to a poor sport who lost an election.

Also, why do you and the SGG want to keep the GM. Could you perhaps give us a couple of reasons?

I doubt you will answer my questions, but it would be nice to know.

I disagree with the statement 'life was great and problemless til the TERRIBLE THREE got elected...'
Excuse me, but LIV has continued to deteriorate since Larry came. The common areas, buildings, pools, etc. have been neglected and fixed with 'bandaids' instead of being maintained.
As I see it the 3 new BOD want LIV to improve and if it means making changes in management, then so be it!

PLEASE...
"life was great and problemless til..."?????
What about all the leaks in the buildings, the discolored ceiling tiles, the lack of pool circulation maintenance, the buckled floor of the stage, the condition of the parking lots and streets, the infractions of 'stuff and junk' being allowed n the lots around the park???
I realize this is all esthetic, but still that is the job of management to oversee and that has not been done!
Money has not been spent appropriately.
And don't tell us that all the money was spent on the golf course.

Are you kidding me? Did you not look around our Village and SEE what wasn't getting done? Grass was dead everywhere because no one was turning on the sprinklers. Signs of dirt and filth was everywhere because no one was power washing and keeping things clean. These are only 2 things of many which were not getting done by our GM and his lackeys. Life IS great, but not without it's problems here in LIV. The "3" you have referred to were elected by a MAJORITY in hopes of getting our GM to DO HIS JOB. If our GM would do his job we could all go back to our little utopias.

Let's enjoy the little things!!!

Well, maybe you did not realize, but we had another water issue in our neck of LIV this weekend. Sunday morning the water was turned off in our neighborhood, unannounced I might add, due to a leak on Lot 303. The owner of Lot 303 was in the midst of a shower, just getting soaped up, when the water was turned off. (A neighbor had reported seeing oozing water.) When she called to see about the water being turned off, she was told there was no one in the park to fix it and the water would have to stay off until TUESDAY!

THEY TURNED OFF THE WATER IN THE CIRCLE PART OF SUN DIAL CIRCLE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING, AND PLANNED TO LEAVE IT OFF UNTIL TUESDAY?!!

She then told them to contact whomever was "on call" over the weekend, and they replied that they could not get in touch with anyone, which it why the water would have to remain off. She then told them that the water COULD NOT be left off, it was a holiday weekend, and many people were here. She told them to call Armando and to keep trying to find someone.

Well, the water was turned back on later Sunday morning, THANKFULLY.

What I want to know is, if we have people "on call" for emergencies, why are we not able to reach them immediately. And why in the world would ANYONE think that leaving the water off for 3 days would not be a problem?!

Is this really the kind of management you want to run our Village?

Re: Cheryl V statement of 09/01/08....
Your statment is just an example of poor management and rganization. Anytime the water will be off, for more than 45-60 mins the village should be notified via channel 2, the marquee AND the LIV website. The reply you got from the "gate keepers" (I assume), is poor training, management and general not caring about the GM duties.

As you and so many others have said...it is time for a change.

Thank you, Cheryl, for sharing your stories.
