The outdoor pool was opened Monday. Leo the pool tech worked hard like always to clean up the debris that has been sitting in the outdoor pool since Hurricane Dolly. (28 days) The indoor pool and outdoor pool may be a topic of discussion at the Coffee with the Directors this Wednesday. It seems that the indoor pool has had some issues on clarity again.

Pool Issues...
Let's see-
Before Dolly both pools remained murky and the chemicals unbalanced. Which made swimming questionable.
After Dolly the outdoor pool was closed due to debris in the pool, then Management said, 'Let's drain the pool and fix it' that did not happen and the debris remained in the pool. Berry pool people came out with strong chemicals to try to clear the water to be able to clear debris. Leo and Isidra worked hard with the equipment they had to get debris out. Unfortunately they couldn't see all that was in there. Supposedly now it's OK to swim in the pool when you still can't see the bottom in the deep end. Any pool operator will tell you that is not safe to allow swimmers in a pool where you cannot see the bottom of the whole pool.
Then the indoor pool-the chemicals are way out of whack and you never know if you're going to still have a swim suit on when you get out due to the strong chemicals.
Hmmm....Pool Issues???

Maybe it's because all the money we need for pool equipment went to the golf course!

No, the money did not go for the golf course. The money spent on the golf course was from the fundraisers the golf committee had last season.
According to the proposed budget for 09, there is money alloted for the pools, unfortunately it's not available right now.
Also, the pool equipment and filtration system does not work right. There is no circulation.
Hopefully that will change when they redo the pool this winter.

If some reader would get their facts right and pay attention they would be proud of what the golf committee and others accomplished for LIV. Through hard work of many volunteers and donations, they where allowed to make improvements that surpassed anything that would have been allocated from our funds.
Why cant people just say THANK YOU! Join in on the efforts, be a part of the group that goes forward without malice. BE PROUD! Or why not just enjoy the improvements.
The people that should publicly acknowledge and keep spirits high are the board and management. To me they only offer disgorgement. I don't want to volunteer anymore. I've had enough. You win managemnet!
