Hey Pa! I'm gonna take me a dip in the cement pond!

We seem to now have our own cement pond right here in our Village. Last Monday, June 30th, the water in the outdoor pool once again got cloudy and by Tuesday it was pond scum green. Our Board of Directors was sold on the idea to give Berry Pools $10,000 a year to do what our management seemed incapable of doing, and this still happens. Berry's original proposal said they would monitor the water at two hour intervals.
It will be interesting to hear what caused the problem.
I hope this information that was put on the "pool close" sign posted on the activity center’s front door was not the same person in charge of our Village pools. Even the worse pool tech knows you don’t adjust the PH with shock.

The BIGGEST problem with the pools is the circulation system. There is hardly any water coming in the inlets and the skimmers don't work.

For crying out loud can you just hire the person back who had the job before. I understand he still lives in the park!

Once again it is shown that the GM that some feel is soooo gooood just can't get the job done. He can't or won't hire the right people for the job...guess he is too busy trying to get his stories straight.

I agree, hire back the pool expert that lives in the village. Right now LIV needs something to go correctly. A clean pool would be a good start!

To let everyone know that the person who use to do the pools is the same person who does this blog. I do appreciate the comments but I am not looking for a job. I do feel that the first comment is dead on.

Hello Joe! Well if you don't want a job maybe you can teach someone how to do it! I'm getting tired of not swimming in the pool. Its like Russian roulette everyday.
I just got turn on to the blog my friend in Canada has a friend who has a friend. I went through it briefly. What a place to sound off.
I'm tired of a few things like the pool the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms they are just missing the trash cans to put your used toilet paper in. TWO WORDS FOR THEM (HEALTH DEPT) There never used to be trash on the streets. Grass that needs to be mowed. And what's up with that big pile of dirt that gets bigger and bigger. The tennis courts are falling apart. The activity room looked good but who ever did the work was not qualified and whats up with that window. The back of the houses near the wall looks terribly neglected. And the pool is a on going project. The people in the office are very unfriendly RUDE what happened to HAVE A GREAT STAY OR ENJOY YOUR STAY WITH US with a smile. The manager is not a happy person. He kind of huvers he never looks at you when he talks to you. He just peers of in the distance. OH well I better stop. Thanks Joe just wish you could teach someone how to So I can enjoy the pools and hot tubs.

Leo on Sun-Thurs. and Isidera on Fri-Sat are really into trying to do a great job! Leo even is weeding and watering the plants and has been known to pull Aluminum cans from the waste to put into the Library Can Barrels.
I agree it would be great if Joe would be able to train them in the finer points but what we have now far exceeds the GM's "fair-haired" prize that recently departed.
Not to change the subject but our amigo I.B. Hooked has a kind reference to us as the "Asylum south of South Point" in his current Coastal Current! Gotta Love it!!!

It's a shame the circulation/filtration system in the pools cannot handle the body load. Sunday evening both pools were cloudy and Monday morning the same. Leo & Isidra are working very hard to maintain the pools. The chemical monitoring by Berry Pools can only do so much. The circulation/filtration system has got to be fixed.

Monday, Monday!!!! The outdoor pool drain was INVISIBLE again so class was adjourned to local Burger joint! Another Ph problem?!! Even the current crew is stymied since they DO NOT control the chemical mix, and the P.M. Sunday use, after care crew is off, of LOTIONS is obviously overwhelming the poor circulation system. Even corn-on-the-cob dipped in butter floated on hot water would not get a coating like anyone emerging from the deep end!!!! Another AMEN!!!!

Well, looks like the GM et al are really on the job supervising everything...NOT. Please, Please BOD give the GM his walking papers at the August meeting. Don't let Director Burke intimidate any of you, like she tries so often to do.

Once again, the new BOD members plus VP Young are doing a good job. These people REALLY want LIV to be a better place

Mr. President: Just thank P.B. for volunteering her services and then appoint whomsoever will do the Best & Fairest job with all interests at heart for whatever task is required to be done. De Facto manipulation of the Board President can only be stopped by said President, who has the Power to do so. That is why the Presiding Officer of any group has a GAVEL! Use it Please! We have a long way to go to March of 2009 and somemore changes can be effected! I apologize for being personal but if the "Pants" fit, put them ON!
