Today was a test of loyalty. To watch director Burke defend our G.M with such passion and anger. Asking for a delay in a decision for his dismissal.
It was sad in a way because it wasn't that long ago 100 plus people wanted her to listen to their pleas to keep an employee from being dismissed. It fell upon deaf ears. The passion was there also.

I was a bit disturbed with the meeting today. A few in the crowd ,friends, neighbors acted in a way that was ugly and unbecoming, shouting and telling each other to "shut up" shouting words to the board that weren't appropriate, people who are suppose to hold order joining in.

The Board of Directors had a very hard decision to make today. I have to believe they did it in our behalf. Such in a way I had to believe the dismissing of three employees by our G.M that made a difference in our park was in our behalf.

It 's important to me to believe in the process, whatever the outcome . It is also important to respect each others opinions.
I wish us all the best in this trying time.

There are many of us who feel that Mr.DeMalade has done a good job and continues to do so. We don't want him replaced. We want the board to be constructive,not destructive. Freedom of Speech is our constitutional right but it should be used with commen sense and some manners. Our board meetings should be run that way as well Thank you.

I feel very sad that we have to replace anyone working in our beautiful Village, but this general manager regardless of what Director Pat Burke wants to portray, has left us much to be desired. We are paying for at least a pro-active manager, one who will have the professionalism not be rude because of stress, and give us the correct answers to questions asked.

I appreciate the Board being concerned about the way our park is being run. I feel that the current GM is lacking in leadership, people, and supervisory skills. The 'buck' always stops somewhere, but it certainly doesn't stop with him. He seems to always have an excuse when something isn't working right and finds someone else to blame, he passes the buck too easily.
My hope is that the board takes time to evaluate him and see what is really going on.

I attended the April 23 meeting and was surprised to learn from one of our directors that there is no paper trail or evaluations of how our general manager has been fulfilling his contract. How many of us were allowed to continue in our jobs for 4 years without an evaluation? How does one know what problems there are? This, I believe, is a problem that needs to laid at the feet of the past boards. Our new board was elected by a majority of our owners. The new directors have felt that owners are not being listened to, the Aramark contract is not being fulfilled, and that changes need to be made. These concerns were part of their platforms, and they were elected. That should tell us something.

Trudy said it all. It is hard to trust someone when he doesn't tell the truth.
It is refreshing to see board members who are not afraid to stand up to management and demand answers.
My hats off to Rick Hansen for his no nonsence approach.
